YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Waylily, operated by Charlotte Croy ("Waylily," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use waylily.com and related services (the "Service"). Contact us at hello@waylily.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you register or sign in, we receive information such as your email address and, if you choose Google sign-in, your name, email address, and profile picture as made available by Google. We do not receive your Google password.
Information you provide. We process the events, schedules, checklists, notes, contacts, locations, documents, and other content you choose to enter, upload, or import. Some event information may include details about other people; please share only information you have the right to provide.
Technical and usage information. Hosting, authentication, and security systems may process IP addresses, browser/device information, request logs, cookies or similar authentication technologies, and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the Service.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide event-planning, organization, import, and export features; respond to support requests; troubleshoot and improve reliability; enforce our terms; and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Google sign-in
If you use Google sign-in, we use the basic account details made available for authentication and your profile. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or Google Calendar through this sign-in flow. Google's handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. AI-assisted imports
If you choose an AI-assisted import feature, the text you submit for that feature may be sent to an AI service provider (currently OpenAI) to extract and organize event information. Avoid uploading sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your event. AI-generated results can be inaccurate; review them before relying on them. Provider processing and retention are subject to our arrangements and the provider's applicable terms.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to operate the Service, including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, Vercel for website hosting, and OpenAI when you use AI import. These providers process information as needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the Service, or as part of a legitimate business transfer subject to applicable law.
6. Storage, security, and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We retain account and event information while needed to provide the Service and for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes. Backup copies and provider logs may remain for limited periods after deletion, subject to applicable retention practices.
7. Your choices and requests
You can update or remove information using available account and project controls. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account or information, email hello@waylily.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some records may be retained when legally required or reasonably necessary for security.
8. International processing and children's privacy
Service providers may process data in the United States or other locations. Waylily is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service develops. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
